More Pictures

We went to the park yesterday--the kids had so much fun--even if Cameron's face isn't showing it!

March 12, 2007

We had a very busy weekend with some home improvement projects. We painted Halley's new big girl room--it's very colorful-pink & green with a white chair rail. She's getting a "big girl bed" tomorrow, so I'll post the pics tomorrow. We also tied up a lot of loose ends around the house--Painted & installed chair rail in the boys room, hung up shelves in their room, changed outside light fixtures (well, that was all Kevin, but I did almost all of Halley's room =) ) The kids probably didn't have a very fun weekend, but they were so good while we were busy little bees. I did learn this weekend that you can't leave a 6 year old (almost 7) in charge of a baby though. They tend to forget about it 5 minutes after you've given instructions...as I was writing this Cameron must have taken a nose dive at the coffee table & seems to be getting a pretty nice bruise which could lead to a pretty black eye by tomorrow--we'll see. Things are never dull with Cameron around!

Getting the hang of this

Okay, I have a few more minutes, so I thought I would add a few more things before I get back to what I need to be doing today. I'm still not sure what I'm doing, so I've just been adding some recent pictures. I've been going back and forth between this site & "my space", and wasn't sure which one to choose, but this just seemed easier?? If I switch to "my space" I'll let everyone know...

Well, just to catch those up who I haven't talked to in a while...Cameron is 17 months now. When we were thinking of names, we read that Cameron means crooked nose or mischievous. I'm not sure about the crooked nose =) but he's definitely living up to the other end of his name. He is so busy--into everything and he loves to make us laugh. I think he's the clown of the family. He tries to do everything that his siblings do now. He likes to keep us on our toes...Cameron spent 3 days in the hospital about 2 weeks ago-- he was severly dehydrated from Rotavirus-- Look it up if you want the details...not a fun experience though.

Halley just turned 4, March 4th. She is such a little princess-literally. She thinks she is soooo beautiful and loves to get "dolled" up. I know she's a little vain now, but I hope she always sees how special God made her! She had a very special birthday--I'll post some birthday pics a little later. We went to Disney Princess on Ice with Kevin's mom, sister, and niece and had such a fun time. Watching the girls' faces was priceless. Thank you, Mom B for such a wonderful day! (We didn't go for her birthday, just happened to fall that way). Then we finished the day off with a party for Halley.

Collin is almost 7 (April 16), and is in 1st grade. He is reading really well, and enjoys most days of school. He truly is such a good little boy. He is so good with Cameron, trying to teach him to talk & play nicely =) Collin just finished the wrestling season--it was a busy couple of months, but he enjoyed himself.

Kevin & I are doing well. I am babysitting full time now for a neighbor. It is working out well, so that I am still able to stay at home. Kevin is on 1st shift, so family life is much more normal now. Whatever normal is...so all in all life is great. Just waiting for spring!

Hope you all enjoy getting a glimpse of what's going on with us!

I have been wanting to create this for a while...after a friend sent me hers. Time has escaped me, so I thought I would just add a little at a time. We have so many family & friends that I want to keep in touch with & I th0ught this would be a great way to keep in touch with all of you.

So here goes...my first "blog"
