We travel to Ohio a lot to see family & friends & we've been to some amusement parks with the kids, but we've never really been on a real "vacation". So we decided that we would travel to New Hampshire to visit my mom's side of the family who has never met Kevin or the kids. We had a great time (although busier than I think a vacation should be), and the kids did absolutely fantastic traveling all that way. First, we drove through Canada and stopped for a day in Niagara Falls. It was a quick jaunt through the city-we saw the falls, rode the Maid of the Mist through the falls, went through a fun house, and made it back in to our hotel just in time to crash before the next leg of our trip.
We rented a condo with my parents in NH on a huge private lake. It was sooo beautiful--. We were able to meet great grammy, and all of their great aunts & uncles. We also traveled to Maine for a day & saw 2 beaches--York Beach & Old Orchard (which had an amusement park for the kids). Collin was body surfing in the waves dispite the fact the he was turning blue. It was a great time for all!
On our way home, we visited a place in Vermont--Quechee Gorge--what a gorgeous view & the kids were able to "mine" for jewels. We were exhausted after our vacation, but we made a lot of great memories and had a great time together. And yes, I took lots of pictures which are to follow:
